I think I'm convinced!
Must be interesting at times dealing with typhoons in HK. I guess we can't complain here.Jackie Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06322613989851869319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-69708219175904466832012-09-11T15:20:53.497+10:002012-09-11T15:20:53.497+10:00Hi Lisa,

Teachers' strikes should perhaps ONLY be held during nice weather...
I'll read your post as it will make me feel better to hear about someone else's crappy Wednesday ;)Jackie Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06322613989851869319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-87161019444908038562012-09-10T22:29:37.924+10:002012-09-10T22:29:37.924+10:00Absolutely! I'm a teacher and I've always ...Absolutely! I'm a teacher and I've always dreaded windy days. We now live in Hong Kong and get regular typhoons through the summer. The kids at school are always quite antsy in the lead up to a storm, you can tell something's coming - they're like mini barometers (or whatever that thingy is that measures wind...). Now I have my own kids I see the same thing at home when the weather turns. "Wild" is the best word for it! They climb the walls, whether they can go outside or not! Definitely don't need scientific proof for this one.BLWChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15125222924808203732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-85708309139970023022012-09-10T12:07:47.963+10:002012-09-10T12:07:47.963+10:00Oh my goodness, I wish I'd read this last week...Oh my goodness, I wish I'd read this last week! I have two boys - 8 and 10 - and they broke me last Wednesday, teacher's strike day. They were completely feral and it was too windy to take them for a kick of the footy and I was too over it to take them somewhere like an indoor play centre. I posted about it here. http://jumbledstuff.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/being-broken/

I should have Googled!Lisa Bhttp://jumbledstuff.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-2907223546338202812012-09-07T20:00:48.241+10:002012-09-07T20:00:48.241+10:00Kath - yes, I am hearing this a lot from teachers ...Kath - yes, I am hearing this a lot from teachers even more than parents. And they would know!

Pand - I love wind but no, NOT the kind we've had lately. And cold wind just hurts your ears!Jackie Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06322613989851869319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-45648186753829150922012-09-07T08:56:29.286+10:002012-09-07T08:56:29.286+10:00I hate the wind - but I thought it was just a long...I hate the wind - but I thought it was just a long hair thing - breezes are find, but the stuff we've had over the last few days has been dreadful.Pandora Behrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17582255671962095503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141383639448060234.post-91610428378552909472012-09-07T00:15:40.176+10:002012-09-07T00:15:40.176+10:00My father was a high school teacher for over thirt...My father was a high school teacher for over thirty years and he always said that kids were much harder to control on windy days...MedicatedMoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08609190990579743429noreply@blogger.com
